Student Aid - Newfoundland Student Loans

Students who are attending or thinking of attending post-secondary education will probably need financial assistance in the form of a loan at some point during their academic career. To help these students, the Newfoundland Student Aid site provides information about how to get a loan, how to pay it back, etc.

Newly added to the site is the on-line loan application form. Now students can apply for their Newfoundland Student Loan and get a reply back instantly. You can find out how much assistance, if any, you are eligible to receive for your schooling.

Regular application forms are still available at local Human Resource Centres, high schools, post-secondary institutions and the Student Aid office, however students are encouraged to use the on-line application form so they can get a result immediately.

The Student Aid office can be contacted at:

Canada Student Loans Program

The Canada Student Loans program provides financial assistance for needy full-time or part-time students attending post-secondary educational institutions. Unlike the Newfoundland Student Loans program, you cannot apply over the Internet. Application forms are available from financial aid offices at colleges and universities, and from the Student Aid office in St. John's. Remember to apply early!
