| Accomplishments |
The Port au Port Indian Band Council has played a major role in establishing
an awareness of Native Culture in the area. This has been done through
general meetings, letters, and crafts.
The band has also established organization, research and documentation of many family trees. This has been a great help to members.
The Port au Port Indian Band also provides information on various colleges and universities. Their main focus is providing information on funding to students.
The band has generated a lot of work throughout the years. This gives members, that are not employed, the opportunity to work on odd jobs and projects for the band, and in some cases the opportunity for long term employment.
