| The communities of Cape St. George and Mainland have been joined by a ten (10) kilometer road, in an effort to promote interaction between the communities, and as a result promote the French Culture and language.

| Ecole Ste. Anne, in Mainland, is a French Emersion school. It opened in 1989, However, the French Language program has been in operation since 1985. This school caters to children from the Preschool level up to and including Level III.

| The Cercle des memories (Circle of Memories) museum, in Mainland, is located at the Centre Solaire et Communautaire Ste. Anne. The Museum is only open during the summer months, but if anyone wants to visit the museum they can contact the Community Economic Development Officer at the Association regionale de la cote ouest(ARCO).

| The museum promotes French culture and language in Mainland, Cape St. George, and Black Duck Brook. It was opened with the help of L'Heritage de L'ile Rouge in Mainland. Cercle des Memories Museum has a variety of items on display. These items include household and domestic artifacts, which provide some insight into how their French Ancestors lived.

| The museum also has a Tea Room and an Arts and Craft shop. Both provide a chance to sample the culture of the area. The Tea Room serves traditional French snacks, while the Art and Craft shop provides the opportunity for visitors to see, as well as, buy local crafts.
