| Les Terre Neuviens Francais is located in Cape St. George. It has been in existence since 1973. Its purpose is to promote and maintain the French language and culture in the Cape St. George area. | |
| The association's main focus is on social and cultural events. It is believed that these events, by focusing on traditional culture and music, will help preserve the French culture and language. Carnivals, Festival as well as other social events are held to promote community and school involvement, in a effort to unite the people and strengthen the French culture and language. | |

| The community of Cape St. George celebrates "Une Longue Veillee," every August. This is a folk festival celebrating French heritage. In recent years, this festival has attracted traditional musicians, singers and dancers from all over the province and a host of visitors and performers from the Maritime Provinces, Quebec and the French Islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon. | |
