INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTSOur organization is a progressive company dedicated to finding employment for caregivers in Canada. We will take the extra steps necessary to ensure that employment is found for you in the most expedient manner. Representatives of our organization will be making multiple trips to the Philippines to interview candidates and their references in order that candidates may be presented to potential employers in the best possible manner. Potential employers desire to know more about candidates than they can read from an application form or see from a picture. We will strive to provide that information which will make you an attractive candidate in comparison to others seeking caregiver positions. To be eligible under the Live-in Caregiver Program you must have the equivalent of a Canadian high school education, six months training or twelve months experience in a field or occupation related to the job you are seeking and have the ability to speak, read and understand either English or French. An important requirement is that employees must live in the employers home and interact with the residents. Although other countries have live-in caregiver programs, Canada is unique. After two years of residence you may apply to be a permanent resident and three years after that, you may apply to become a Canadian citizen. It is important that the applicant provide all information is a straightforward manner in both the application form and during telephone interviews conducted by potential employers. Honesty is a trait that employers will hold in esteem above many other qualities and which will allow the potential employer to overlook the lack of certain desirable qualifications that can be learned at a later time. PCI encourages all applicants to ensure that information provided is current and that those who have registered with PCI ensure that as new information becomes available that we are provided with that information. If you have learned a new skill, such as received a drivers license or a university degree or your phone number/address has changed it is imperative that you let us know. The new skills you learn may be the qualifications necessary to secure you employment. If we cannot contact you because of a new telephone number, mailing address or email address you may miss an employment opportunity. The fee for registration is $400.00 (US) payable by means of a bank money order made payable to Professional Caregivers international Inc. Please forward this amount together with the completed application to: Professional Caregivers
International Inc.
Upon Professional Caregivers International Inc. securing employment for the applicant, the applicant agrees to pay Professional Caregivers International Inc. a further fee of $250.00 US. We look forward to finding you employment with a suitable family in Canada. |
