CANADA'S LIVE-IN CAREGIVER PROGRAMThe live-in caregiver program has been instituted by Human Resources Development Canada and Citizenship and Immigration due to a deficit in Canada of live-in caregivers. Although there may be many caregivers in your province there is not a sufficient number of Canadians whom are willing to live in your home and provide assistance to you in caring for your children or family. Those caregivers, resident in Canada, may desire to charge a much higher rate of pay than a person who is coming from abroad. The majority of caregivers employed through the Live-in Caregiver Program will expect only to be paid the minimum wage in the province of their employment. Additionally the majority of foreign caregivers are quite experienced, having received university training, and further training specifically in providing care to children and the physically/mentally challenged. For further information on the Live-In Caregiver Program please click here. For more information about any of our applicants, please contact PCI. |
