Sacraments

The following is an overview of the celebration of the various Sacraments within our Christian Community:

                                                               Baptism

Baptisms are held DURING mass the 2nd Saturday & last Sunday of each month.  Preparation for Baptism is a requirement of the church & takes place the 2nd Thursday of each month at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Peter's Church. This can be done before the baby is born.

                                Confirmation, First Communion & Reconciliation

There is no longer a set time for the reception of Confirmation, First Communion or Reconciliation, nor is there a formal preparation for these sacraments as there has been in the past. Our diocese has adopted the Born of the Spirit Catechetical series for use in the home. This means that the parents are the primary instructors in the faith for their children.

In our parish, registration for the Born of the Spirit resource is held in September.

In the spring of each year we hold some 'Focus' sessions for those children who are using the Born of The Spirit resource and whom the parents believe are ready to receive one of the Sacraments.

                                                               Anointing of the Sick
Takes place upon request. Please call the Parish office @ 364-8606 to make arrangements.  


                                                                        Marriage

Six months advance notice required.
Make an appointment with the priest by calling 364-8606.
Preparation session and courses are OBLIGATORY.  Call 579-0168 for upcoming dates and to register.
